TRUFFLES, BLUE CHEESE & WINEMAKING
Regional New Zealand food and wine travel
culinary journeys will customise for you, special gourmet food and wine trips to regional New Zealand, taking in local flavour, laughter and adventure.
culinary journeys are about sharing a passion for our country, our people and our quality produce with you. We would like to help you enjoy and experience real New Zealand, the ingenuity of our kiwi locals and our very own New Zealand made, regional style.
New Zealand is truly blessed with some of the world's best fresh produce, wines, meats, cheeses and seafood. The physical beauty of each region is enhanced by its closeness to the sea, rivers, mountains or lakes - all perfect backdrops for unique culinary escapes. We look forward to preparing for you itineraries that can combine visits to local markets, food producers and wineries, with dining experiences in stunning locations and scenery. Each region of New Zealand has it's own home-grown character both in the personal hospitality of it's locals and in the food and wine it produces. The diversity of landscape lends itself to the development of regional foods and wines, all of which synergistically capture the differences in climate and the land.
New Zealand wines are noticeably making an impression on an international
level. Our low volume (by world standards), but exceptional quality wines
are recognised by discerning food and wine lovers in Europe, United Kingdom,
United States, Asia, Australia and other parts of the globe. The fact that
New Zealand is again hosting the international Pinot Noir conference again
here is a direct reflection of the acclaim we are achieving with
this sensual wine
variety.
It is becoming more and more important for an expanding number of New Zealand
producers to ensure that our land continues to be nurtured for the
future. Many of our farmers are following sustainable agricultural management
practices that promote improved land use and better animal husbandry. These
outcomes combined, assist us in achieving the quality of product that we
want to project to the rest of the world. This is yet another example of
our regional style.
