MORE THAN JUST A BAKERY



PANDORO began life in 1992 as a small artisan bakery in Parnell, selling to a handful of restaurants and the public. Today, we still have the original bakery in Parnell, and loyal customers who are proud to say they use our products and who have no reservations about recommending us to their friends, families and other business associates. Part of our secret lies in being a "hands-on" family business, where the owners develop the product, deal personally with customers and strive to offer only the best by way of service and quality. We eat our own products and would never offer anything to our customers we wouldn't want to eat ourselves.

PANDORO is owned and operated by Neil McGarva, General Manager; Kaye and Richard Tollenaar, Operations, product development and Production.

PANDORO VOTED THE BEST. Soon after we opened in 1992, famous visiting food writer, Prue Leith proclaimed Pandoro to be the best Italian Bakery outside of Italy. Since then, Metro, North & South and The Evening Post readers have regularly voted us the best bakery in New Zealand.

PANDORO IS NOT JUST AN ITALIAN BAKERY. Our inspiration comes from all corners of the globe. We make wild sourdoughs from Germany, France and Sanfransisco, pide from Turkey and a range of regional Italian breads that include; ciabatta, panini, focaccia and olive bread.

PANDORO OFFERS VARIETY. Our product list offers over 200 breads, cakes and pastries; including a bread selection of over 25 dough varieties hand crafted in various shapes and sizes to meet your individual needs.

PANDORO OFFERS QUALITY. We employ a team of highly skilled bakers who take pride in creating hand finished artisan breads. All our products are made from scratch and are additive free, using only the finest natural ingredients.

PANDORO OFFERS INNOVATION. The owner-operators regularly travel to Europe, America and Australia, seeking inspiration and new, fresh ideas to bring to you. We are constantly introducing new products and services to our range and improving existing ones to keep you up to date with international food trends. In 1998, Kaye received the Food Service aware for Innovation.

PANDORO OFFERS RELIABILITY. We employ a team of contract drivers to ensure delivery of your product, on time, 7 days a week, year round at our cost.

PANDORO OFFERS EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Our knowledgeable and friendly customer service staff are available from 8am to 5pm to answer questions and problem solve for you. If you need menu help, we also have a fully qualified chef as our sales rep to tend to your needs.

Orders close at 4pm daily and if you call after that time, we will endeavour to do all we can to fill your order. If we make a packing error, we will courier out the missing product to you within the hour at our cost.
