Visit Avondale (Sunday) Markets to shop for the freshest Asian greens and herbs, the best Chinese Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, then go on a discovery tour around an Asian supermarket crammed with ingredients, utensils and the weird and wonderful. Finish this with lunch at one of my favourite locals - The Canton Café (reviewed by North & South & Metro and featured on Corbans Taste NZ).
Come with your shopping list or recipe with hard to find ingredients.
When: Sundays by appointment.
Where: Pick-up in Kingsland (shoppers car park, New North Road)

Visit Waimata Cheeses, Gold medal winner NZ Cheese Awards, observe a truffle
hound in action at Oakland Truffiere, the only Truffiere in the Southern Hemisphere
in commerical production; visit the local weekend market for a unique regional
experience, enjoy special winemakers tastings (including Millton Vineyard),
prepare a sumptuous feast with local produce in a hands-on class with Jennifer
Yee. Included: Airport transfers, tour transport, also visits
to a unique coastal garden, and tastings of local products, 2 dinners and 3
