ABOUT culinary journeys
Jennifer Yee is a food design
and nutrition consultant with over 15 years food industry experience. Since
the completion of her Otago degree
in food science
and nutrition,
she has held a number of key industry positions in research and development.
She is a respected public health dietitian and an industry specialist in
nutrition marketing. In 1997, she established her own company Food Concepts & Design
Ltd.
One of the fastest growing aspects
of the business is culinary journeys - unique gourmet food and wine tours
that are personalised for small groups. These tours have featured in
various magazine and newspaper articles and the Asian Flavours journey
has been profiled on television's Taste NZ and Asia Down Under programmes.
An award winning food features writer,
Jennifer contributes to NZ House & Garden's
entertaining section, Divine - an Australian food and wine magazine,
as well as industry publications. She shares her expert knowledge
of Asian ingredients and cuisines at cooking school and is a regular
guest on national television and radio programmes Nine to Noon and
Saturday Morning. Her venture Culinary Journeys offers gourmet tours
of regional New Zealand and Vietnam to local and international guests.
Jenny currently lives
in Auckland, having grown up in Gisborne on New Zealand's remote
and beautiful East Coast. Jennifer spends two to three months a year
on projects in Asia and Australia
